Through It All

“Fight for your life!”  That was Bobby Umar’s closing remark at Discover Your Personal Brand 2015 conference.  He encouraged people to fight through their challenges, not to them, something that is a trait of everyone who succeeds.  The thing about fighting through challenges is that getting through to the other side of it is never the aim.  The aim is often to go much further than getting through to the other end of the challenge.  The fight is to the goal.  Challenges are like getting through obstacles along the way but they should never be the thing that our eyes are on.  That only leads to short-term thinking and not long-term solutions.

Even the longest road has an end.  Whatever the challenge is, be aware of it, check yourself to ensure your actions reflect the truth of who you are and what you stand for, then proceed to make decisions that will move you forward to achieving your goals.
